WASHINGTON, PA- The qualifying tournaments are complete, and the bracket is set.
Now, the focus shifts to Washington, PA for the 2022 DICK’S Sporting Goods PONY
League World Series. All of the games will be available online via MLB.com with links
to the live feed and GameChanger live scoring on plws.org and pony.org. As many as
eight of the games will be available regionally on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, the
television home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins. The World Series
Championship game will be carried live by The CW Pittsburgh with a re-air on AT&T
SportsNet Pittsburgh.
Friday, August 12:
Game action opens at 5:30 pm* with East Zone champion Hagerstown, MD facing Bay
County, MI, the North Zone titlist, followed by Opening Ceremonies. Caribbean winner
Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and New Taipei City, Taiwan meet in the second game with a
scheduled 8:00 pm start.
Saturday, August 13:
The annual PONY Champions League game takes the field at 10:00 am. Tournament
play resumes at 1:00 pm* with Monterrey, Mexico facing West Zone champion San Jose,
CA. Game 4 matches host Washington County, PA against London, England at 3:30
pm*. The final game of the day’s triple-header sees Host Area champion Johnstown, PA
against the Hagerstown/Bay County winner. Game 5 is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
Sunday, August 14:
Following the Breakfast of Champions, the last of the opening-round games takes the
field when Palmview, TX plays the Washington County/London winner at 12:00 noon*.
The tournament’s first elimination games follow. Losers of Games 1 & 2 from Friday
square off at 2:30 pm with the losers of the first two Saturday games playing at 5:00 pm.
Monday, August 15:
Elimination contests are slated for 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. Winners’ bracket finals are
on the evening schedule. Game times are 5:30 & 8:00 pm*.

Tuesday, August 16:
Two more elimination games open the day, set for 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. Division
Championship games at 5:30 & 8:00 pm will pit an unbeaten team against the remaining
one-loss team in each division. Division Championship games will air on Tuesday.
Wednesday, August 17:
“If Necessary” games would be played if the one-loss teams are successful in Tuesday’s
Division Championship games. The upper division game would be played at 10:00 am.
The lower division game would be played at 12:30 pm.
The DICK'S Sporting Goods PONY League World Series Championship Night begins
with pregame ceremonies at 6:45 pm. First pitch is set for approximately 7:20 pm. The
Championship Game will be regionally broadcast for the eighth straight year. The CW
Pittsburgh will carry the game live. AT&T SportsNet will re-air the title tilt.
