Day 3 of the Mustang-9 World Series

Day 3 Game 9: Bonaire (12) vs Tampa, FL (1)
Bonaire won big over Tampa, FL 12-1 on Sunday.

A balk put Bonaire on the board in the top of the first.

LANDON C grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped Tampa, FL tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Bonaire flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by ESTENEV T that drove in two.

YUF-ANGIOUR B stepped on the bump first for Bonaire. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and one run over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. ARIEN P opened the game for Tampa, FL. The starter gave up nine hits and eight runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking none. THAYRIQ I and JADIEL C each came on in relief for Bonaire and shutdown Tampa, FL.

Despite a 4-run deficit in the second inning, Shenzhen, China almost came all the way back, eventually falling 6-5 to Vacaville, California on Sunday. Shenzhen, China closed the gap by scoring on a ground out, a home run, and a walk.

HONGZHE Y drove in four runners in the loss. The center fielder went 1-2 on the day.

Vacaville, California got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Shenzhen, China committed an error, Shenzhen, China committed an error, GAVIN B singled to center field, and ACE C singled to left field, each scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Vacaville, California went back into the lead after BRYCE B singled to center field, and ACE C walked, each scoring one run.

HONGZHE Y pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Shenzhen, China. The hurler allowed five hits and two runs while striking out four and walking five. THIACO O collected four hits in four at bats, as Tijuana, Baja, Mexico defeated Bonaire 17-7 on Sunday. THIACO O singled in the second inning, singled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Tijuana, Baja, Mexico scored nine runs in the second inning on the way to victory. THIACO O singled, scoring two runs, AZIEL L singled, scoring one run, LIAM H doubled, scoring two runs, AARON O singled, scoring one run, ESTEBAN F singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and ALBERTO U grounded out, scoring one run.

Bonaire got on the board in the top of the first inning after CRISSIANO G tripled down the right field line, and ESTENEV T hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Vacaville, California couldn't keep up with Simi Valley, CA and fell 15-6 on Sunday.

Simi Valley, CA got on the board in the top of the first inning after JEFFEREY C scored after tagging up, and Vacaville, California committed an error, each scoring one run.

Simi Valley, CA extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by COLTON P, BRANTLEY M, and CASH D.

Simi Valley, CA scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. PARKER O drew a walk, scoring one run, LUKE H grounded out, scoring two runs, COLTON P singled, scoring one run, CASH D singled, scoring one run, and JEFFEREY C grounded out, scoring one run.
